So if there is one specific song that you would like played, tell me about it and I can learn it with care especially for you. If you are in need of some inspiration on bagpipe music for funerals, here are some common tunes played during moments of rememberence and refelction.

  • Flowers of the Forest

  • Amazing Grace

  • The Dark Island

  • Skye Boat Song

  • Going Home

  • Mist Covered Mountains

  • Abide With me

  • Flower of Scotland

How much does a funeral bagpiper cost?

I completely understand that you need to have the time to focus on what really matters. So I charge a simple £150 flat rate, which covers everything for up to three hours, including my travel. No fuss.

What I will wear when piping at the funeral.

I will be wearing my full military styled higland uniform in one of two tartans: a red - Royal Black stewart, or Blue - Modern Black Douglas, tartan. This uniform is often called number one dress while a traditional shirt, waistcoat and tie forms the classic number two dress. As defualt, I will wear my number one dress but I can wear number two dress upon request. If you have a preference between my two tartans, just let me know and I will make sure to wear that secific tartan.
